We provide DSL to Moscow, Pullman and the other cities above.  DSL (or ADSL) is a high-speed, always-on Internet service that makes using the Internet much more enjoyable.  It uses your current phone line but does not interfere with your ability to use the telephone at the same time you are using the Internet.  This eliminates the need for a separate phone line just for the Internet.

DSL has distance limitations (13,000 feet) and phone line provisioning requirements (no pair gain) so it is not available to everyone who has a phone.  Please call us locally at 883-5500 in Moscow and Pullman or at 1-800-310-5554 elsewhere to see if your phone line qualifies. 

Every DSL Account with Cactus includes:

• One or more static IP addresses
• One mailbox for each person using the account.
• Domain name service (yes, you may run web servers on your ADSL)
• Virtual mail server if we host your domain.
• Virus checker and Spam filter, no charge
• Free personal (not your domain) web hosting with 10 MB of space
• Discount on commercial web hosting ($5 discount per month)

DSL service consists of two parts and two charges.  The first charge is the ISP charge for connecting you to the Internet, providing email boxes and so on, which is paid to Cactus.  The second charge is for adding DSL signaling to your phone line and is paid to Verizon.

* Cactus charges on the basis of the number of computers that have access to the Internet through our service, not on the number of IP addresses.  If you use a firewall, proxy server or any form of connection sharing then the charge is still based on the total number of computers sharing the connection.

Use Policies

To read our use policies click on Use Policies in the menu at the left.  Please realize that DSL service is a consumer service meant to replace dial-up service.  It is not meant to be a replacement for high-capacity dedicated lines such as Frame Relay or T-1's.  If you need high capacity and want to use DSL to save on transport costs, please contact us and we can work out a price based on volume requirements.  Currently, we charge $300 per megabit throughput reserved during prime time (5pm - midnight).
