internet. Its been working out real nice and I'm very pleased with
the performance. It's running a lot faster than my previous service
with Verizon DSL, which was supposedly rated at the same download

- Just writing to tell you
how much I appreciate the firewall and other virus/worm protection you
and Tony are constantly adding and upgrading on the mainframe. I've
been with you for about twelve years (she exaggerates - its seven years)
now, and have NEVER received a virus or a worm from anybody.
Especially thinking about this because my neighbor told me last night he
can't use his new computer because he now has three versions of a worm
on his computer. His server is Adelphia! Just one more reason I have

Monica, Just thought I'd pass along my
experience. I won a free year of internet from Cactus and just finished
using it last month. I had been a <local competitor's> customer for a
couple of years and put that account on hold so I could use the free
year with you. I was very surprised at how much better your service was,
not only speed, but also getting on the web. There were many times that
I had to redial 20-30 times to get on with <them> and I never connected
anywhere near where I did with Turbonet. I went back to <them> because I
had credit with them that I wanted to use up, but I will definitely
switch back to Turbonet as soon as my prepaid time with <them> expires.
One note is that their connection speed is actually better now than it
was just a year ago, but it is definitely slower all around.

I had Cactus for about 5-7
years with never a call for tech services. I signed up for the "Power
Link" with Adelphia. We signed up in November and by the middle of
March we had had to call Tech services 9 times. ... So I dissolved the
"partnership" with Adelphia and signed up again with Cactus. R. M. R.

- Hi. Just a quick note to say thanks for the ease of Turbonet. I am
currently deployed in Kabul Afghanistan, and with Turbonet, I have no
problems checking my email daily. The Army email that I have sometimes
gets bogged down with heavy use. I never have problems getting into my

I went ahead and signed up with TurboNet yesterday and so far am very
impressed. The response times while browsing are much faster than <a
regional DSL service>, and this evening I completed an entire online race
without getting booted, something that hasn't happened for a couple of
weeks. Hopefully the good connection to the racing servers will
continue. I would also like to say thanks for the great service in
the sign-up process; it all went very smoothly, and it was a nice touch
that you offered to take care of the Verizon side of things also. It
is rare to find a company with personal service such as yours in today's
marketplace. I wish you many years of success and hope that our good

- My experience, after working with both
you and <your competition>, is
that the performance of Turbonet email is far and away superior to
<theirs>. You are almost never down, and those few times you are,
you let us know. You have superior email forwarding
(user-configurable, forwarding to multiple accounts). Your email
server is fast and efficient, and last time I caught a virus, your
software trapped my system from tying to send the "badtrans" virus to
people on my address list before the mail actually left Cactus. I ALWAYS recommend you

I'm not sure when Verizon finally threw the switch, but DSL was up and
running when I hooked it all together yesterday afternoon. The phone
company was ahead of schedule...will wonders never cease! ...
In any case, since there's a tendency to hear more gripes than praise, I
thought I'd just let you know how tickled I am with my Turbonet/Verizon

- When I got there,
the mail volume was holding 550mb of trash with 70mb free; I would have
heard about it tomorrow without a doubt. Although I have some
telemetry there I don't even have any baseline data yet to make it
meaningful. Your attention to logs and diagnosis saved me plenty of
time and the city plenty of downtime; I suspect most ISP's don't perform
at that level, but we've come to expect that of Turbonet - you do good

I appreciate a company that makes the effort to provide good customer
support and promptly! I don't know who to send kudos to, but wanted
to tell you I find Turbonet to be the "best deal" I've found in a long
time. I'm really pleased with
my ISP. In the past 5 years, I've lived coast to coast (Seattle to
Norfolk, VA) and several places in between. I've used a dozen
different servers. Turbonet is proving to be superior to any of them
I've tried. I'm reminded of this each time I chat with friends and
hear their complaints about their servers. I certainly didn't expect
so much quality for the rates we pay! My modem (antiquated as it is)
doesn't know what to do with a consistent and uninterrupted connection.
