Outlook Express

If your email program refuses to import your old email files, you might try making a copy of the files onto the desktop, then importing from there. The files are at:

Windows XP, 2000

C:\Documents and Settings\Monica\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{B5A790AA-A187-458C-A18B-B5B4FECA4262}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

To get to the above, click the Start Button, right-click on My Computer and pick Explore from the menu.  Double-click the C drive, then Documents and Settings.  Double-click your own name or email username or account name (it might be "mail.turbonet.com").

Under that, double-click Local Settings, Application Data, Identities.  You may have more than one identity, so you may have to try them all.

Double-click the identity (alphabet soup), then Microsoft, then Outlook Express.  The mailboxes should be listed there.
