Publishing through FTP from Word 2002

To create an FTP location in Word, click on the file folder icon in the icon row, then at the top, click the arrow at the right of the Look In box, then Add/Modify FTP locations. See picture at right.
Where normally you would expect to type ftp.sitename.com, you actually just type sitename.com. Choose User, and type your username and password.

Open, retrieve, and save files from this location as if it were on your computer (but slower). Be sure to save as type Web Page.

To create a link to another document, click and drag over the text which will be highlighted. Go to the Insert menu and choose Hyperlink. Type in the URL of the page or web site to link.
