Publishing from Netscape Communicator

If you need help with links, e-mail, and other nuts-and-bolts Web publishing, an excellent book for beginners is Laura LeMay's Teach Yourself HTML Web Publishing in 7 Days.

Once you've got your Web page constructed, go to the "file" menu and choose "publish".  At left is an example page for a personal website.   Substitute your user name and password in the appropriate spots.

If you have a business website, your ftp location is probably "ftp://ftp.palouse.net/users/yourname" where "yourname" is your user name.  In Netscape, unlike most programs, you do need to specify the directory (/users/Monica/ in the example) after the FTP location.
