Account Management

To configure user-controlled options for your email account, go to the Web Email.

Spam Engine:  Our anti-spam engine marks ad-like email by adding "[Spam]" to the email's subject line.  Email Monica@turbonet.com to turn this option on or off.

Spam Folder :  Our mail server can keep emails marked [Spam] on the Email Server in a special Spam Folder.  This keeps the spam out of your Inbox.  Email in the Spam Folder is deleted after seven days.  You can view the Spam Folder using our Web Email if you wish to see what is in it.

White List:  If you wish to make sure emails from certain email addresses are never classified as spam by the Spam Engine then you need to add those addresses to your White List.  In particular, newsletters that people subscribe to often have advertising causing them to be misclassified by the Spam Engine, so the email addresses of newsletters should be placed on your White List.

Assuming you're doing this from inside your Spam folder, put a check by the message which came from the address you want to add to the white list. At the bottom of the list of email, click the arrow by "Move" and choose White list sender, then OK.

Kid-Safe Email:  If you want to create an email account which receives email ONLY from the people on its white list, as the last entry in the white list, put SMTP Sender, RegEx String, .*$ reject which tells the mail server to reject everyone else. Be sure it's the last entry, of course. To do this, go to the Web Email. Then click Settings and Server Rules. This is done in the advanced view, with the Enable box checked (see picture).
